What a day! (A pleasant surprise)
Well,
Today was a surprising day for me to say the least. My really really good friend Joan who I love very very much came to visit me today. But she did not come alone.. she came with her new husband(they got married last November). It was such a joy meeting him and I think they are so perfect for each other. Joan is one of the sweetest women you can ever meet.
But that was Not the surprise... The surprise was the fact that they came with Astou.
Let me tell you a little bit about Astou:
Astou is a friend that I met in 2003 when I first came to the U.S. We spent a month in Chicago together and then moved to Sherman, Tx for school. We were roommate for 2 years and then suddenly out the blue we stop talking, actually she stopped talking to me.I did not understand why but I accepted it. So Astou was the last person I thought will ever come to my house. But then something CHOCKING or should I say amazing happen... Astou became a CHRISTIAN...WOW!
I never ever thought I will write these words because Astou was a devout Muslin, and when I say devout I mean it. My God will never ever cease to AMAZE ME. So now Astou is my sister in Christ. Thank you Lord!!
Today was a good day. God can do things that you never imagine possible. He is a God of wonders indeed.
